Turning India’s sunlight into lasting value.
NEO ENERGY engineers, builds and operates solar plants for homes, campuses and industry, backed by 15 years of experience and a team based in Chennai.
Choose your starting point
Each sector has its own system design, funding route and paperwork. Pick yours.
Domestic
Up to ₹1,00,000 in combined subsidyRooftop solar for your home, with the central PM Surya Ghar subsidy and Tamil Nadu’s new state top-up. See a worked example for a 5 kW house.
Educational institutions
Lower running costs, live lessons in energySchools, colleges and universities have large roofs and daytime loads. Solar cuts the power bill and gives students a working plant to study.
Industrial and commercial
Megawatt-scale delivery and upkeepFactories, warehouses, hospitals and offices. We build ground-mount and rooftop plants up to multi-megawatt scale and keep them running.

One team from survey to daily upkeep
Neo Energy Innovations Private Limited, incorporated in 2026, builds on more than 15 years of solar engineering experience, including five years maintaining megawatt-scale plants.
- Survey and designRoof or land, shading, soil and load are measured before a single panel is specified.
- Approvals and fundingWe handle DISCOM feasibility, net metering and subsidy paperwork.
- Build and commissionStructures, panels, inverters, cabling, earthing and monitoring, tested before handover.
- Operate and maintainCleaning, inspections and remote monitoring keep output at its rated level.
Built for long-term partners
Clear numbers, visible operations and measurable impact for the people who fund and rely on our plants.
Proven delivery
Plants of 4 to 8 MW delivered, and about 30 MW kept running through our maintenance team.
Transparent operations
SCADA monitoring and monthly performance reports show owners and lenders exactly what each plant produces.
Measurable impact
Every megawatt adds clean generation in line with the UN Sustainable Development Goals 7 and 13.
Plants we have delivered
Selected ground-mounted projects, and the plant capacity we maintain today.
| Project | Type | Capacity |
|---|---|---|
| Green Glow | Ground mounting | 5 MW |
| SenthilKumar Spinners | Ground mounting | 4 MW |
| Raji Electricals | Ground mounting | 8 MW |
| Operation and maintenance | Solar power plants | ≈30 MW |
What our customers say
From factory floors, school campuses and family homes across Tamil Nadu.
NEO ENERGY surveyed our shed roof, handled every approval and handed over a plant that has performed as promised. Their monthly reports let our finance team check every number.
Our students now read the plant’s live output in their physics lab, and the savings pay for equipment instead of electricity.
The team filled in the subsidy forms, dealt with TNPDCL and explained every step. Our 5 kW system was running within weeks.
Industrial and commercial solar
Replace a growing share of your grid bill with power generated on your own roof or land, and keep the plant performing for decades.

What we build
Plants are sized to your sanctioned load and daytime demand, so little power is wasted.
Rooftop plants
Factory sheds, warehouses, hospitals, malls and office blocks. Structures are matched to roof type and wind load.
Ground-mount plants
From 1 MW to multi-megawatt sites, with pile foundations, string monitoring, SCADA and substation connection.
Operation and maintenance
Scheduled cleaning, thermography, inverter servicing and monthly performance reports.
Why businesses go solar
Commercial and industrial tariffs are higher than domestic ones, so every unit you generate saves more.
Predictable energy cost
Solar output is priced once, at installation, for about 25 years.
Savings from year one
Daytime units from the plant replace the most expensive units on your bill.
Lower emissions
Useful for supplier audits, ESG reports and customer commitments.
The central and state home subsidies apply to households only. Business plants are usually funded through bank finance or your own capital. Ask your accountant about depreciation and tax treatment for solar assets.

The plant is sized to our daytime load, and the maintenance team keeps output where it should be. Our power cost is now something we can plan for.
Solar for educational institutions
Classroom blocks, hostels and labs have broad roofs and daytime demand. Put them to work, and give students a plant they can learn from.

What changes on campus
Most campuses run lights, fans, labs and computers when the sun is strongest.
Lower power bills
Savings go back into teaching, equipment and scholarships instead of electricity.
A working lab
A live dashboard turns the plant into material for physics, electrical and environmental courses.
A greener campus
Visible clean energy supports sustainability reporting and parent and alumni confidence.
How institutions fund solar
Home subsidies do not apply to institutional buildings. We help trusts and managements pick the route that suits their accounts.
- Bank or green loanFinance the plant and repay from the electricity savings.
- Management or trust fundsOwn the plant outright and benefit from the full saving.
- CSR or alumni contributionDonors fund a named plant and see its output online.
- Net meteringSurplus power on holidays and vacations is exported to the grid.
The management saw lower bills. The students saw something better: a real solar plant they can measure, graph and learn from.
Your roof, your power. Up to ₹1,00,000 back.
NEO ENERGY installs grid-connected rooftop solar for homes in Tamil Nadu and handles the subsidy paperwork from the central and state governments.
Two subsidies, one installation
Both are paid on the same system. The state top-up was launched on 21 September 2026.
Central: PM Surya Ghar
₹30,000 per kW for the first 2 kW and ₹18,000 for the third kW. The maximum is ₹78,000, reached at 3 kW and above.
Tamil Nadu top-up
An extra ₹22,000, taking the combined subsidy to ₹1,00,000 for systems up to 3 kW. It applies to homeowners who registered on the national portal on or after 5 August 2026.
Net metering
Power your home does not use goes to the grid. You pay only for the net units imported on your bill.
Worked example: a 5 kW home
A typical Chennai house using about 600 units a month. Move the sliders to try your own numbers.
Assumes an installed cost of ₹70,000 per kW and 1,400 units generated per kW each year. Your site survey gives the exact figures.
At the default 5 kW and ₹6 a unit: cost ₹3,50,000, less ₹78,000 central and ₹22,000 state, leaves ₹2,50,000. The plant makes about 7,000 units a year, worth about ₹42,000, so it repays itself in around 6 years. Over 25 years that is roughly ₹7 lakh of net gain, after one inverter replacement and gradual panel ageing, if tariffs stay where they are. Estimates only, not financial advice. The state subsidy is stated for systems up to 3 kW, so 5 kW systems receive the same ₹22,000. Tamil Nadu already gives 100 free units every two months, or 200 if you use 500 or fewer, so check your own bill before choosing a size.
How we get you the subsidy
- RegisterOn the PM Surya Ghar national portal, choose Tamil Nadu, your distribution company and your service number.
- Feasibility approvalWe survey your roof and TNPDCL approves the technical feasibility.
- InstallationWe install ALMM-listed panels and BIS-certified components.
- Inspection and net meterThe utility inspects, then fits a net meter and commissions the plant.
- Subsidy creditThe central subsidy is paid to your bank account, then the state top-up follows.

Questions we hear
Is the 5 kW system eligible?
Yes. Subsidy is capped at ₹78,000 central and ₹22,000 state, so the extra capacity beyond 3 kW is paid for by you.
Do I get the Tamil Nadu top-up if I registered earlier?
Reports say it applies to registrations on or after 5 August 2026. If you registered before, ask TNPDCL whether you qualify. We can check this for you.
Can shops and offices claim these subsidies?
No. Both subsidies are for households. Businesses and institutions can still save with solar, as our other pages explain.
Where do these figures come from?
PM Surya Ghar scheme pages and Tamil Nadu budget and launch reports from August and September 2026. Rules change, so confirm on the official portal before you apply.
We did not have to chase anyone. NEO ENERGY registered us, got the approvals and installed the system. The subsidy came through as they said it would.
